11 Notecentric: Using Notecentric, you can not only organise your notes online, but also share them with your classmates.

10 Box.net is online file storage. You can create shared folders to collaborate with colleagues. The first 1GB is free.

9 DropSend enables you to send large files up to 1GB. You can also back up all your files online and share and collaborate with colleagues.

7 Flowchart: Create charts to organise your thoughts or notes. You can collaborate with your colleagues, chat and design a flowchart at the same time.

6 Bubbl.us: Is a simple and free web application that lets you brainstorm online.

5 openomy is an online file system. You can store files on Openomy and access them from any computer. Openomy organises files and users via tags (as opposed to folders). Store files up to 1GB.

ThinkFold: Create outlines that can be shared and collaborated in real time using ThinkFold.

Google Notebook: Add clips, organize your notes, and even access your notes from your mobile phone with Google Notebook.

2 Google Docs and Spreadsheets: Keep all of your documents online, and even collaborate with peers using this tool from Google.

1 Backpack  allows you to create pages to keep all your stuff like images, ideas, notes, lists, calendars, to-dos and files online. It also enables you to set email and mobile reminders. I found a great application called shrinkpic that automatically shrink photos to attach to emails or upload to your blog. Once installed on your computer you never have to do anything! It works automatically and silently in the background.
